How do you manage your Facebook page managers?
A company page is an interesting way to reach more users. But if you add someone or fire people from your team, you should know how to manage your Facebook page admins to update those who have access to this important part of the company on social networks.
For nearly a decade, actors, athletes, and even restaurants have had their own fan pages. They usually upload relevant information about their schedule, promotions, etc. If you have a business, you should probably create a Facebook page to communicate the most engaging news and updates.
Of course, your entire team should not have access to your Page's posts, but only some of them. This will depend on who your most trusted employees are, or who you trust to do the job.
What roles are available on a Facebook page?
Meta provides us with many levels of control that you can give to those around you within your page. You can give them full access, access to some specific tasks, or set certain limits on their access.
Of course, keep in mind that when you give someone access, that person will be able to do or undo as they please. Assuming you give someone full control, they will be able to make all the same changes that you as an administrator make.
⚠️ What can someone with full control of your page do? ⚠️
Remove anyone from the page (including you, the owner)
Give access to other people, even if they are strangers to the business
Delete the page and all its contents
This is precisely why we don't recommend giving full control unless it's someone you completely trust. When this is not the case, it is best to grant access to specific tasks to all new administrators. You can ask someone to reply to direct messages, but they can't upload stories or posts.
How to add a new admin to your Facebook page?
If you haven't delved into your startup or company's networks in a while, you'll notice that Facebook has been updated a bit. However, it's still very easy to add a new admin to your Page.
Log in to Facebook in a browser, on your PC or Mac
Click on your profile icon in the upper right corner
Enter your company profile (you may have to click "See all profiles").
At the bottom left of the browser window, click the blue View Page button
At this point, you will have control of the page. Click Manage near the top right
Managing Facebook page administrators
The Facebook Page Pro dashboard will appear in the left sidebar. Go to the Access section
Add an administrator with full or partial access. If partial, assign specific tasks
When you grant access, Facebook will remind you what each of them means
Once permissions are granted, find the person among the profiles and grant them that access
Enter your access credentials to confirm permissions
It can be a fairly extensive, even cumbersome process, but it's not every day that you change access to your page. When in doubt, always grant less access and, in any case, grant new permissions. Remember that all permissions you grant must be controlled diligently and professionally.
Why can't I add a contact as an administrator?
Although it's unlikely that you'll want to give access to your page to someone you've blocked in the past, we can't completely rule that out either. In this case, follow these steps to unblock someone on Facebook.
You may want to remove someone from managing your Page. Or just change some of your accesses.
