How to save text messages on Android
Saving text messages on Android is an important matter for many people. This is not the case with the server, where I literally keep nothing. But I understand that many of you really like to save important SMS. For this reason, I decided to tell you how you can do it.
For this we will start by downloading the SMS Blackup & Restore app from the Play Store. It is a completely free application and will help us create backups of text messages. Not only will we be able to save them on our devices, but we will also be able to export them to a computer or transfer them directly to Google Drive.
Once we install and open the application. We'll click Set up a backup to start creating one. We can choose what information we will save, which conversations, and where we will save them.
Currently, there are a few options. We can choose to save them locally, i.e. on the same phone. Or we can save them to Google Drive or Dropbox.
We can avoid arranging conversations manually, we have an option that gives us the possibility to automate the process. We go to Settings, click on the options menu in the upper left corner and we will find it. After that, it will be a matter of following the instructions. Nothing complicated.

In case you want to restore saved messages, go to the main menu and choose View Backups. Here we will see the messages in XML format. Another thing we can do is organize messages within local folders.
It is possible to transfer these messages to a new phone without any problem. Obviously we are faced with an interesting application that helps us in a simple way not to lose hundreds of messages that we have saved, even spam ones.
